Haverhill, MA:Mr. Albert J. Chaplick, 89, of Haverhill, died Saturday, January 21, 2012, at the Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Laukioniute) Chaplick, he attended Haverhill schools.He served as a Private First Class in the United States Army during World War II.Mr. Chaplick worked as a shoe assembler for the local shoe industry and also as a bartender at the Chit Chat Lounge, Haverhill.

He was a member of the former St. George's Parish, Haverhill, the Lithuanian Gedymino Club, Haverhill, and the Italian American Club.Mr. Chaplick was also a member of the Amvets and the V.F.W., Post 29, Haverhill, MA.

An avid candlepin bowler, he enjoyed playing 45's and whist card games and baseball.

The husband of the late Theresa (Girard) Chaplick who died in 2004, he is survived by a niece, Linda Ward and her husband, Fred of Brockton.He was pre-deceased byhis twinsister, Olga A. Frederick who died in 2000.

Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 5 to 7 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill, MA.His funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.Burial will take place in the Lithuanian Cemetery, Haverhill.
