Newton, NH: Albert L. "Bert" Lynn, Jr., 56, of Newton died on July 30, 2016 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Methuen, MA on April 11, 1960, son of the late Albert L., Sr. and Janice (Ronan) Lynn, Bert was raised in Newton and graduated from Sanborn Regional High School with the Class of 1979, where he played trumpet in the marching band.
Bert was a self-employed auto mechanic and worked for many local shops. He was also skilled in carpentry and woodworking.
Bert was an accomplished trumpet player and played taps at many of the Memorial Day Parades in Newton and Danville. He also played bass guitar in local bands and enjoyed boating and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by a daughter, Samantha Lynn of Bartlett, NH, a son, Nicolas Lynn of Manchester, a brother, Arthur R. Lynn of Newton, a sister and brother-in-law, Peggy A. and Alfred Parah of Sandown, the mother of his son, Barbara Dubisz of Manchester, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, August 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street, Plaistow, NH. A brief prayer service will take place at 6:50 p.m. in the funeral home.
