Plaistow, NH: Albert F. "AJ" Johnson III, 31, of Plaistow, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015.

Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, son of Sandra L. (Greening) and Albert F. Johnson, Jr., AJ lived and attended school in Reading, MA as a child, where he was active in the Reading Little League. He later moved to Plaistow with his family and attended the Pollard School and Timberlane Regional Middle School and was a standout in the Plaistow Little League Program. A member of the Timberlane Regional High School Class of 2001 he was a member of the State Champion Varsity Football Team.

As a member of the New England Paint Horse Association, AJ excelled in horseback riding and enjoyed calf roping and was a First Place winner in the Western Pleasure Category at the Deerfield Fair. AJ also enjoyed building and woodworking and was employed as a carpenter by local contractors.

Survivors include his parents Sandra M. (Greening) and Albert F. Johnson, Jr. of Plaistow, a son Nicholas Johnson-Dennis of Plaistow, three sisters, Tammi Johnson of Plaistow, Patricia Johnson-Dube and her husband Jon Dube of Fremont, and Samantha Smith of Wilmington, MA, maternal grandparents Marjorie Donnelly of Nashua, NH, and Howard Greening of Wilmington, MA, paternal grandmother Eleanor Johnson of Reading, MA, two nephews, James Johnson and Shane Johnson of Plaistow, a niece Kailey Hannon of Fremont, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Life Celebration on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. in Holy Angels Church of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, Plaistow, followed by burial in Plaistow Cemetery.
