Alan D. Daigneault
, age 62 of Fort Lauderdale, FL, former longtime resident of Haverhill, passed away at his home in Fort Lauderdale, following a long illness, on February 1, 2012 with his loving wife Jackie at his side.
Alan was born on July 29, 1949 in Haverhill, the son of Emile and Thelma (Arahovites) Daigneault.He was raised and educated in Haverhill and had graduated from Haverhill High School Class of 1967.Alan had also attended West Virginia University
Alan had worked as a machinist for Smith & Nephew in Andover for over 15 years.Prior to becoming ill, he had worked as a machinist for MSK in Tamarac, FL.
Alan enjoyed taking long nature walks with his wife Jackie.He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, but college football was his favorite.He loved being able to watch his West Virginia Mountaineers' when they were playing.
Alan was predeceased by his father, Emile Daigneault.He is survived by his mother, Thelma Whitton and her husband, James of Haverhill, his wife, Jacqueline (Giguere) Daigneault of Haverhill, his son, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant David A. Daigneault and his wife Colleen of Fort Leavenworth, KS, Daughters; Cheryl A Kenney and her husband Thomas and Dawn M. Daigneault and her fiancé Mike, all of Haverhill, his sister, Carol Vekos and her husband Arthur of Haverhill, his grandchildren; Joseph, Julianne, Tyler, Alyssa, Jonathan and Brianna.Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive him.
Calling hours are Thursday March 22, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home 47 Broadway in Haverhill.Funeral services will be held on Friday March 23, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.Interment will follow the services at Linwood Cemetery 41 John Ward Avenue in Haverhill.
