IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Agatina
Iaci
December 28, 1916 – July 10, 2021
Agatina (Amato) Iaci, 104, of South Lawrence, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 10, 2021, at the Oxford House in Haverhill, MA.
Born and raised in South Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Dominica (Rizzo) Amato.
As a young woman Agatina worked in Lawrence shoe shops, eventually retiring from Cardinal Shoes. She was happily married for 50 years to the late James "Jimmy" Iaci who passed away in 1990.
Agatina enjoyed dancing with her husband at Italian social clubs. She relished traditional Italian Sunday suppers with her family. These family gatherings were filled with laughter and Agatina liked for everyone to sing Italian songs together. Her specialty was from scratch wedding soup, while her husband made the pasta. She was an extremely disciplined and fastidious woman who always welcomed family with a smile. In her later years she walked throughout South Lawrence, stopping daily for coffee and shopping. She was a faithful Catholic who attended mass regularly at St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence, MA.
Agatina will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Mrs. Gaetana Ferruolo (late John Ferruolo) of Kingston, NH, her 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Agatina was predeceased by her husband, James Iaci; her daughter, Jane Orth; her sisters Connie (Amato) Sambataro, Rita (Amato) Valenti and brother Joseph Amato.
