Haverhill: Adrian N. Bouvier, 94, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died June 6, 2020 at Holy Family Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill.
Son of the late Omer and Adelaide (Archambault) Bouvier, he attended Saint Joseph Grammar School and graduated Haverhill Trade School and Haverhill High School in 1941 and was a member of the Horse Shoe Team. Mr. Bouvier served honorably and proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War Two as a Machinist Mate 3 rd Class aboard the USS Saint Paul and was a recipient of the World War Two Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, and Asiatic Pacific Theatre Medal with One Star.
Mr. Bouvier owned and operated a general contracting business in Haverhill known as Master of All Trades until his retirement at the age of 80. He had also previously operated Adrian's Floor Covering and All Season Power Equipment. He also operated a snowplowing business for several winters.
Mr. Bouvier was a member of All Saints Parish, the former Saint Joseph Parish and the West Parish Men's Club.
An avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots, he also enjoyed watching the sulky races at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH. He built his own boat and spent many summers enjoying vacations at Lake Winnipesaukee.
Mr. Bouvier is survived by his wife of seventy years, Jean (Parks) Bouvier, two sons, Gregory Bouvier and his partner Susan Clark of Haverhill and Douglas Bouvier and his wife Kathleen of Bedford, NH, a daughter Sandra O'Meara and her husband Stephen of Plaistow, NH; grandchildren, Kurt Denoncourt, Ryan O'Meara, Samantha Bouvier, Victoria O'Meara, Adrian Bouvier, and Aimee O'Meara; great-grandchildren, Bianca Bergeron, Amelia Denoncourt and Brynleigh Denoncourt, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Kathy Denoncourt, brothers Paul, Robert, Edward, Lucien, and Francis Bouvier and sisters, Claire Bouvier, Delores Kelly, Antoinette Duff, Helen Bouvier, Marie Gaudet and Florina Comeau.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mr. Bouvier's graveside service to be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 2 p.m. in Hillside Cemetery, Route 97, in Haverhill. Due to the national health crisis, those attending are reminded to practice social distancing guidelines as well as the wearing of masks. A Memorial Mass will be held in All Saints Church, Haverhill at a later date.
