Kingston, NH: Adam J. Smith, 29, of Kingston, died unexpectedly August 18, 2022.
Born in Methuen, Massachusetts, son of James B. and Jennifer (Ratte) Smith, he was raised and educated in Kingston. Adam attended the Bakie School, Sanborn Middle School and was a member of the Sanborn Regional High School Class of 2011. He later attended Lincoln Vocational and Technical Institute in Hartford, CT.
Adam was employed as a carpenter by local contractors and attended the First Congregational Church of Kingston. He enjoyed time outdoors fishing, hunting and snowmobiling at the family cabin in Pittsburg NH as well as snowboarding, and skateboarding. He cherished the special times that he shared with his family and was a devoted uncle to his nephew, Weston.
Adam was a loving son and brother who cared deeply for all of his family. He always enjoyed helping his dad with any task at hand and loved to spend time at the house with his family and especially his little nephew Weston who meant so much to him. His daily presence will be greatly missed by all. He always put his family ahead of himself no matter what struggles he was facing at the time.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, James B. and Jennifer (Ratte) Smith of Kingston, his sister and brother-in-law, Danika L. and Joseph T.W. Nash and their son, Weston of Rochester, NH, a brother Jacob D. Smith and his partner Madison Chase of Sandown, maternal grandparents, Glenn and Christine (Fiset) Ratte of East Wakefield, NH, paternal grandparents, Gordon and Bethany (Larsen) Smith of Lebanon, ME, uncles, Jeffrey Smith and his wife Katrina, David Smith and his wife Julieann and Mark Ratte, and several cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours to be held on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main ST., Plaistow, NH. A PUBLIC FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 10 AM at the First Congregational Church, 6 Church St., Kingston, NH. ALL ARE WELCOME! The family requests that donations in Adam's name may be made to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 85 North State St., Concord, NH .
