Adam S. Magyar, 34, of Milton, NH and formerly of Effingham, NH, died on December 8, 2017 at his home.
Born in Haverhill, MA, son of Jeffrey W. Magyar and Sharon A. (Caillouette) Magyar, he was raised and educated in Plaistow, NH, attending Pollard School and Timberlane Regional High School. He was a self-employed carpenter and worked for several local contractors including Glenn Builders, Conway, NH and Halsey Builders, Portsmouth, NH. He was a member of the American Patriots III (APIII%). As part of American Patriots he recently helped with hurricane relief in Texas. He was always willing to take on a special cause to help those in need.
He was an accomplished artist who excelled in drawing and sketching. Adams creativity was not limited to just restoring historic buildings, he also used his skills to create one of a kind birthday cakes for his boys. Recently he could be found making holiday wreaths out of balsam and berries he gathered in the woods. Adam also enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening, rock mining and collecting quartz crystals. He especially enjoyed spending time with his boys exploring nature as well as spending quality time reading and instilling the importance of a solid work ethic and family values. Adam always enjoyed spending time with his family often lending a hand on various home improvement projects. One of his recent projects was an outhouse dubbed the "potty palace" at his family's camp on the Saco river.
He is survived by his life companion and mother of his children, Janine M. McLean; two sons, Joseph A. Magyar and Johnathan J. Magyar, both of Milton,NH; his father, Jeffrey W. Magyar and his longtime companion, Karen Conley of Cape Elizabeth, ME; his mother, Sharon A. (Caillouette) Magyar of Derry; three brothers, Alex K. Magyar and his husband, Jake Sugerman of Dedham, MA, Joshua J. Magyar of Freedom, NH, and Jacob D. Magyar of Stratham, NH; his maternal grandmother, Judy A. (Mitchell) Caillouette of Milton, NH; his paternal grandmother, Sherry (Bowen) Chard and her husband, Bill of Portland, ME; his paternal grandfather, Stephen Magyar and his partner, Sandy of Middleboro, MA and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He also leaves behind a lifelong friend Jill Hebert. He was pre-deceased by his grandfather, Joseph Caillouette.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will follow at 7:15 PM in the funeral home.
